Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Das informed this and said “Black Fungus” will continue to be taken as epidemic disease until further orders.
According to information, as many as five persons have suffered from the Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) in Odisha so far. Of them, two have died, one has recovered and the two are undergoing treatment.
It may be noted that States like Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh have already declared Black Fungus as an epidemic disease.
