Bhubaneswar, Jun 5: As per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha on Saturday formed a 14-member committee to set criteria for assessment of marks to be awarded to Class-XII students.
The panel will recommend well-defined alternative objective criteria for assessment of both Regular and Ex-Regular students of the Class XII.
The expert committee has been asked to submit a report with 10 days.
The committee comprises Dr Sushant Kumar Das, Ex-President BSE & Ex-CoE, Utkal University, Dr Subash Chandra Das, State Level Program Manager Academic Performance Monitoring Cell, SCSTRTI, Bhubaneswar, Sambit Kumar Nayak, Joint Secretary (Representative of S & ME Deptt.), Dr Tushar Kanti Tripathy, Vice-Chairman, CHSE. Bhubaneswar, Dr Mihir Kumar Das. Academic Consultant, OSHEC, Bhubaneswar and nine other educationists.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had yesterday ordered cancellation of CHSE examinations this year in view of Covid situation.
