He said Odisha has oxygen more than the quantity that had been required for treatment of Covid patients during the pick time of the first wave infection. “Actually, Odisha is a lucky State because industries, both at Government and private level, are producing huge quantities of exygen,” he said.
The DMET Director said the State has also adequate numbers of beds and ICUs for treatment of Covid patients.
“As many as 71 Covid Hospitals have been established in the State against the present requirement of 31. 26% general beds, 14.18% ICUs and 10% ventilators have been occupied,” he said.
Dr Mohanty said Covid infection might reach pick in April last week or May first week.
