Koraput, Mar 30: A woman was mercilessly beaten by a group of people in Kotia area of Koraput district in Odisha. The indecent came to fore after a video of the brutal act turned up on social media on Tuesday.
In the video, a few men and women were seen picking up an argument with the woman and subsequently landing blows and kicks on her in the middle of the road of the village.
The victim was found begging for mercy, while the miscreants rained kicks and punches while grabbing her hairs.
Though the attack occurred in broad daylight, no one came to her rescue and some of them were seen capturing the video of the incident.
According to sources, the woman was thrashed for allegedly marrying a married man. The couple have reportedly children from their respective early marriages.
The miscreants also allegedly thrashed the new husband of the woman, leaving him critically injured.
No police complaint was lodged by the victims till the last report came in.
