The State reported as many as 920 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday and 741 new cases on the previous day.
Out of 870 fresh cases in the State, 509 cases have been reported from quarantined people, 361 are local contact cases.
Sundargarh district reported the maximum number of fresh cases at 220, followed by Khordha at 140, Sambalpur at 72, Kalahandi at 63, Mayurbhanj at 59 and Balangir at 45.
As many as 27 fresh cases were reported from the State pool.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the State has increased to 13,16,473. So far, a total of 13,00,951 people of the State have been recovered from Covid-19.
“The active cases of the State now stand at 6,325,” the Department said.
