Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik on Saturday vehemently criticised the BJD Government over Andhra Pradesh’s Panchayat elections in Kotia of Koraput district.
In a series of tweets, Patnaik said that BJD govt has failed to provide even basic amenities to the people of Kotia in its 20 year of rule; hence few people may prefer the governance of Andhra Pradesh.
The Congress leader also said that the neighbouring State managed to conduct their Panchayat polls in the territory of Odisha due to the incompetence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He also urged the Chief Minister to show some guts and stand up against such advances of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
However, the Congress veteran claimed that Odisha will not allow even an inch of its territory to be taken by Andhra Pradesh.
As per reports, voting for Panchayat elections of Andhra Pradesh Government began at 7 AM today in Kotia panchayat under Pottangi block in Koraput district. .
The polling for three villages - Tal Ganjeipadar, Phatu Chineri and Phaguna Chineri- of Kotia panchayat is being conducted at an under construction Church amid tight security.
