Odisha had reported 1,615 positive cases yesterday.
Out of the new 1,558 positive cases, 904 have been detected from among quarantined people and the rest 654 as local contacts.
Among districts, Khurda reported highest 479 cases, followed by Cuttack 241, Balasore 97, Puri 82, Angul 80, Jajpur 78, Jagatsinghpur 67, Bhadrak 42, Mayurbhanj 41, Kendrapara 35, and Nayagarh 25.
Besides, 103 cases were reported from the State pool.
During the period, 2039 Covid patients recovered, taking the State’s total recoveries to 9,53,088 and bringing down the active cases to 16,715.
A total of 1,59,50,444 Covid tests were done so far, informed the department.
