Out of the 11,099 fresh Covid-19 cases, 6,214 cases were detected from quarantined people, while 4,885 cases were reported from local contacts.
Khordha district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 1,497, followed by Cuttack at 1107, Angul at 867 and Sundargarh at 703.
With the new cases, the total tally of Covid-19 cases in the State increased to 6,55,899.
As many as 5,46,631 people of the State have recovered from Coronavirus infection so far, said the Health Department.
At present, the State has 1,06,812 active cases.
