Bhubaneswar, Apr 22: As many as 6,164 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally of the State to 3,88,479, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Thursday.
Out of the 6,164 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3,575cases were detected from quarantined people, while 2,589 cases were reported from local contacts.
Khordha district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 1,132, followed by Nuapada at 459, Kalahandi at 452 and Sundargarh at 427.
As many as 3,51,386 people of the State have recovered from Coronavirus infection so far, said the Health Department.
The State currently has 3,5075 active cases, it added.
