Bhubaneswar, Apr 26: As many as 6,599 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally of the State to 3,88,479, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Monday.
Out of the 6,164 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3,827 cases were detected from quarantined people, while 2,772 cases were reported from local contacts.
Khordha district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 958, followed by Nuapada at 551, Kalahandi at 518 and Cuttack at 488.
As many as 3,62,931 people of the State have recovered from Coronavirus infection so far, said the Health Department.
The State currently has 49,075 active cases, it added.
