Bhubaneswar, April 27: Amid concern over rising Covid-19 cases, the admission process to elementary and secondary level for the academic session 2021-22 in Government-run schools in Odisha began on Tuesday.
The admission process will continue till May 31, officials said.
Speaking to Urgus News, Sujata Samantaray, Headmistress of Unit 1 Girls High School in Bhubaneswar, said, “As per Government instruction, the admissions process in our school was conducted between 7 am and 9 am to today. Only five parents were allowed at a time into the school in order to avoid crowding in the wake of the Covid-19 situation”.
“Parents will be informed about the admission time and schedule through the WhatsApp groups formed for implementation of ‘Odisha Siksha Sanjog’ programme,” she added.
Admissions process will be carried out with full compliance to COVID-19 precautions as per the Government order, officials added.
