“Government after careful consideration have been pleased to reschedule the timing of teaching hours in all schools from 6 am to 9 am with effective from May 2. However, the examination already scheduled by different Boards / Councils will continue as usual,” said the School and Mass Education Department.
Besides, the Learning Recovery Plan (LRP) prepared by the OSEPA will be conducted during summer vacation.
The LRP is applicable for government and government-aided schools. The students who are being promoted from Class-III up to Class-X including new admissions and also Class-XI students who will be promoted to Class-XII (Higher Secondary schools) will be covered under this plan.
On April 25, the State Government suspended classes of all school students for five days effective from Tuesday, due to the prevailing heatwave.
However, Class 10 and 12 examinations which have already been scheduled by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), will be held on time.
As per schedule, the annual matriculation exam will start on April 29 and continue till May 7 while the Class 12 exam conducted by CHSE will start on April 28 and continue till May 31.
