Odisha had reported 545 positive cases yesterday.
Out of the new 565 positive cases, 328 have been detected from among quarantined people and the rest 237 as local contacts.
Similarly, 63 more children in the age group of 0-18 years have been detected with Covid-19 infection today.
Among districts, Khurda reported the highest 256 cases, followed by Cuttack 61, Balasore and Jajpur 28 each, Mayurbhanj 26, Jagatsinghpur 20, Puri 12, Sambalpur 11, Angul 8, Bhadrak and Sundergarh 6 each, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal 5 each, Bolangir, Ganjam, Kendrapara, Keonjhar and Koraput 4 each, Deogarh, Kalahandi and Nuapada 3 each, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Nayagarh, and Rayagada 2 each.
Besides, 56 cases were reported from the State pool.
During the period, 634 Covid patients recovered, taking the State’s total recoveries to 10,12,116 and bringing down the active cases to 5,513.
A total of 19,900,532 Covid tests were done so far, informed the department.
