Odisha had reported 539 positive cases yesterday.
Out of the new 602 positive cases, 353 have been detected from among quarantined people and the rest 249 as local contacts.
Similarly, 79 more children in the age group of 0-18 years have been detected with Covid-19 infection today.
Among districts, Khurda reported the highest 266 cases, followed by Cuttack 74, Jagatsinghpur 34, Balasore 24, Sambalpur 23, Mayurbhanj 19, Jajpur 16, Puri 13, Ganjam 8, Nayagarh 8, Bhadrak 7, Dhenkanal 7, Angul 6, Gajapati 6, Sundergarh 5, Rayagada 4, Kalahandi 3, Kendrapara 3, Sonupur 3, Deogarh 2, Kandhamal 2, Koraput 2, Bolangir 1, Boudh 1, Jharsuguda 1 and Keonjhar 1.
Besides, 63 cases were reported from the State pool.
During the period, 494 Covid patients recovered, taking the State’s total recoveries 10,09,582 and bringing down the active cases to 5,930.
A total of 1,96,58,891 Covid tests were done so far, informed the department.
