Bhubaneswar, Jun 26: Covid19 claimed the highest 47 single-day deaths in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the State’s total death toll to 3,848, according to the State Covid dashboard updated at 8.46 am on Saturday.
The State had reported 44 deaths yesterday.
“Regret to inform the demise of forty seven numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” tweeted the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Among 47 fresh fatalities, Khurda reported the highest nine deaths (including five in Bhuabaneswar), followed by Bargarh, Cuttack and Nayagarh each five, Ganjam, Puri and Sundargarh each three, Angul, Jajpur and Kendrapara each two and Balasore, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj and Nuapada reported one each.

3.A 40 years old Female of Balasore District.
4.A 44 years old Male of Baragarh District.
5.A 60 years old Female of Baragarh District.
6.A 45 years old Male of Baragarh District.

8.A 55 years old Female of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9.A 73 years old Female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
10.A 62 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.
11.A 61 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
12.A 60 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
13.A 46 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
14.A 85 years old Male of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
15.A 51 years old Female of Cuttack District.
