Bhubaneswar, January 4: 183 more Covid-19 positive cases were detected in the State in the last 24 hours thereby taking the total infection count in Odisha to 330492 on Monday.
Of these fresh cases, 106 cases were detected from among quarantined people and the rest 77 found as local contacts.
According to the data furnished on its Twitter account of the Information and Public Relations Department, the new cases were detected from 26 districts of the State.
Among the districts, with 32 new cases Sundergarh remained at the top followed by Angul (24), Jajpur (11) and Kendrapara, Nuapada and Sambalpur 10 cases each.
Besides, 5 cases were reported from the State pool.
244 Corona patients were also recovered in the State today.
Similalry, at least two Covid-19 patients succumbed under treatment in the State in last 24 hours.
While, a 52-year-old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus succumb under treatment today another 37-year-old male of Sundargarh district suffering from RI-lower limb amputation following RTA also passed away.
