Bhubaneswar, April 8: 879 more Covid-19 positive cases were detected in the State in the last 24 hours thereby taking the total infection count in Odisha to 345526 on Thursday.
Of these fresh cases, 518 cases were detected from among quarantined people and the rest 361 found as local contacts.
According to the data furnished on its Twitter account of the Information and Public Relations Department, the new cases were detected from 28 districts of the State.
Among the districts, with 144 cases Khurda remained at the top of the positive list today followed by Sundergarh (131), Nuapada (61), Bargarh (53) and Cuttack (50).
At least 32 cases have been reported from the State Pool today.
Besides 246 Corona patients were also recovered in the State today.
