Bhubaneswar, April 20: In view of rising Covid-19 cases in Odisha, the State Transport Authority (STA) has suspended the driving license (DL) and earner’s license (LL) tests in the State with effective from April 22 till further orders, according to an order issued by the STA on Tuesday.
“All learner’s license and driving license tests are hereby suspended w.e.f. 22.04.2021 till further orders to prevent transmission of infection in the State,” read the order.
“All RTOs may reduce quota per slots or cancel existing slots for all driving related services and VAHAN related services in respective region taking into account prevailing COVID situation,” it said.
All RTOs will upload information regarding suspension of DL and LL test in the Facebook or twitter accounts for information of public and stakeholders, the notification added, it added.
Odisha today reported as many as 4,761 Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, the State has 27,821 active cases, according to the latest data of the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
