According to BMC election officer, as many as 40 Corporator candidates have filed nomination papers so far, while 713 Corporator forms and 23 forms for Mayor post have been sold so far.
The elections to 47 municipalities, 59 Notified Area Councils (NACs) and three municipal corporations of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur will be held on March 24.
The election results will be declared on March 26.
