Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das on Thursday told the Assembly that Auxiliary Nursing Midwifes (ANM) posts will be filled through recruitment and eligible candidates will be appointed.
In a statement, the Minister said as many as 1,099 ANM posts are lying vacant and all these posts will be filled with eligible candidates.
On agitating ANMs, the Minister said, “ANMs had been appointments on conditions keeping in view the escalating Covid situation. Their jobs turned up after due period of appointment. They will have to go thorough due recruitment process to get ANM posts. There are 1,099 ANM posts lying vacant now,” said the Minister.
