Based on specific information, a joint team of Machkund and Lamtaput police intercepted a truck at Guneipada chhak during their patrolling late last night.
During the search, police recovered around 321.8 kg of ganja stuffed in 16 bags from the vehicle.
The cops seized the contraband drugs and the vehicle, and arrested two ganja peddlers, identified as Bipin Mishra and Arun Dubey of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Primary investigation reports suggest that the ganja was being transported from Enugu area in Andhra Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh via Lamtaput, Jeypore, and Raipur. Further investigation is underway, a senior police official said.
