According to information, as many as 2,57,474 voters will cast votes to decide the fate 10 candidates who are in the by-poll fray. The voters include 1,29,497 male voters and 1,27,965 female voters.
Voting will be conducted at 319 booths from 7 am to 4 pm. While 74 booths are in Maoist-hit areas, 78 booths have been identified as sensitive ones.
Presiding and Poling Officers have started moving to their allotted booths. EVMs have also been sent to booths.
To ensure smooth polling, nine companies of Central Force and 41 platoons of police have been deployed. As many as 98 micro observers will be deployed.
While voting will be held on December 5, counting will be done on December 8, according to the schedule set by the Election Commission of India.
