“It has been only 4-5 days since the SIT was constituted. Give us two weeks’ time. We are working hard,” Bothra told reporters here on Saturday.
Bothra had come to attend an important meeting of senior police offices held at the DGP Camp Office here.
It may be noted that the State Government had recently constituted the SIT headed by Bothra to investigate into the alleged kidnapping and murder of five-year-old girl Paree in Nayagarh district. The SIT investigation is being monitored by a sitting judge of the Orissa High Court as per the recommendation of the State Government.
According to information, the five-member SIT has already visited Jadupur village and met Paree’s parents. They have also visited the place from where skeletal remains of Paree had been recovered.
Paree had allegedly been abducted and later killed in July this year.
