The Union Minister issued this direction after BJP Odisha MPs and his Cabinet colleagues, Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Chandra Sarangi, met him and urged him to withdraw the proposed by-laws drafted by the National Monuments Authority.
“Odisha MPs and Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Sonal Mansingh and SK Singh met me and apprised me about the Puri-related notification. The notification was issued without knowledge of Chairman, MNA, New Delhi. The notification was taken back forthwith,” tweeted Patel in Hindi.
A little later, BJD MPs led by Pinaki Misra and Bhartruhari Mahtab met the Minister and urged him with withdraw by-laws.
“Odisha MPs led by Pinaki Misra and Bhartruhari Mahtab met me. I told them that I have already given a direction for withdrawal of the notification. If any decision is taken relating to Puri henseforth, then an Odia version of that will also be published,” said the Minister.
