According to the allegation, the Vivekananda Hospital didn’t hand over the body of a man to his kin due to nonpayment of Rs 60,000 and insisted for the payment.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumar Mishra (60). As per norm, he had undergone RT-PCR test before admission. The hospital authorities informed to the family that his report came positive and, thus, they shifted him to the ICU. Later, he died in the ICU. By this time, the hospital had allegedly taken over a lakh of rupees, alleged family members.
Now, the hospital authorities claim that Mishra had tested Covid negative and insist that the family pay Rs 60,000 to take the body.
