Social Security and Persons with Disability Empowerment Minister Ashok Chandra Panda informed this in the State Assembly today in response to a question of Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja.
The Minister said PwDs, elderly persons, AIDS patients and unmarried girls are getting monthly pensions under different schemes. They are getting pensions of 500, Rs 700 and Rs 900 as per schemes.
As of now, a total of 48,56,9660 people have been included in the national social security and Madhubabu pension schemes. An allocation of Rs 1,524 crore has been made for the social security sector in the current year’s Budget, said the Minister.
He said transgender persons have been included in such schemes, he said.
