The hike to be effected from April 4, 2021 was decided taking into account the proposal filed by the utilities (generation, transmission, supply and distribution), advice of the State Advisory Committee and opinion of the State Government and conducting a public hearing, said the OERC.
“While tariff for BPL and irrigation consumers have remained unchanged, there is no change in Monthly Minimum Fixed Charge (MMFC), Demand Change and Meter Rent,” said the OERC.
Power factor penalty/incentive and rehability surcharge have been abolished.
According to the decision, 2% rebate over and above normal rebate will be allowed on the LT domestic and single phase general purpose category of consumers who pay through digital mode. Similarly, 2% rebate shall be allowed to all prepaid consumers on prepaid amount.
Charging of electric vehicles will be treated as GP category.
