On this occasion, the Union Minister presented a hand-woven cotton ‘gamcha’ (towel) to the President.
The traditional hand-woven cotton ‘gamcha’ was made by dalit artisans from Athamallik town of Angul district in Odisha, informed the Union Minister.

President Kovind is scheduled to embark a two-day visit to Odisha on the 21st and 22nd March during which he will attend several programmes.
Official sources said that the President will grace the 18th convocation ceremony of National Institute of Technology-Rourkela (NIT-R) and also dedicate the 200-bed new Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela to the nation on March 21.
Notably, the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set up the SSH with financial support from Union Steel Ministry.
