“I held discussions with Odisha Government officers to know about education systems in the State. While education system is in the concurrent list, I want that the National Education Policy be executed by both the Union and State Governments to boost the education system in the country. I have a plan to visit all States to know their education systems,” said the Union Minister.
He said about 83 lakh students are currently studying in school, higher education and post-doctoral education institutions in Odisha. He termed the meeting very fruitful.
Higher Education Secretary Saswat Mishra said the Union Minister directed his Ministry officers to release pending dues of RUSA I and II to Odisha soon.
“Besides, the Minister also hinted about implementation of RUSA III. It is likely to come up in a months’ time,” said Mishra.
The Union Minister too emphasised on vaccination of students, teachers and nonteaching staffs of Higher Education Department and holding of offline classes in colleges and higher educational institutions.
