Puri, Feb 15: An accused in a dacoity case allegedly attempted suicide in police custody here in Odisha on Monday.
As per reports, Kabu Pradhan, who was arrested in a dacoity case by Talabania police in the city, allegedly cut his hand and throat with a sharp weapon in the police station.
The accused, who received severe injuries on his hand and throat, was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital here in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, Talabania police registered a case against the accused and started investigation the circumstances under which he attempted suicide.
