As per replies given by Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Minister Ashok Panda, Odisha has now 39.84 lakh people above 60 years and, of them, 30,89,669 people have been given Government allowance.
Skill Development Minister Premananda Nayak informed the House that 14,43,285 people have been provided skill training. As many as 3,00,815 people were provided training in 2019-20 against target of 2,25,543.
Science Centres will be established in 30 districts in the State. Science teachers will be sent to Bengaluru for training. In the first phase, some teachers will leave for Bengaluru on September 24, informed Science & Technology Minister Ashok Panda.
