IMD has issued orange warning of heavy to very heavy rains for seven districts and yellow warning of heavy rains for 11 districts for the next 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar, Jun 13: While rain continues to occur in Odisha by the impact of a low pressure formed over the Bay Bengal, the IMD has issued orange warning of heavy to very heavy rains for seven districts and yellow warning of heavy rains for 11 districts for the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at different places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kendrapara district. Similarly, the weather office has predicted heavy rains in Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khorda, Puri, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts.
The weather office has warned inundation in low-lying areas and advised people to remain cautious for safety during the rains, which is occurring due to southwest monsoon. The rainfall is likely to occur in the next four days.
While 23 districts received monsoon rainfall on Saturday, the rest seven districts are likely to receive the monsoon rains today.
