Notably, rainfall has been occurring for the last two days. The ten districts which are likely to receive rainfall are Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur. The IMD has issued yellow warning to these districts.
It may be noted that Odisha has received rain below average till now. A drought-like situation has emerged in many districts. If rain doesn’t occur adequately in the next few days, agriculture activities will be affected severely.
