Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal on Thursday wrote to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, recommending to him for a befitting recognition of the outstanding detective work of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Twin City Commissioner of Police Sudhansu Sarangi and team for successfully arresting the prime accused in the Anjana Mishap case after 22 years of the incident.
“It gives me immense pleasure to note that Odisha Police under the leadership of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Twin City Commissioner of Police Dr Sudhansu Sarangi has been successful in arresting one of the prime accused in a heinous crime which occurred 22 years back in a sensational case in 1999. It has also laurel to the State Police for their dedication and commitment to the profession. There is a need to recognise such outstanding performers in a befitting manner which will inspire others in a big way,” wrote the Governor.
He also conveyed sincere appreciation to the Commissioner of Police and all other officers of his team for the spectacular achievement.
