Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das on Tuesday said people who will come from States witnessing rise in Covid cases will undergo RT-PCR test compulsorily on their arrival at railway stations, airports and other places.
Even if they don’t test positive for the virus, still they will remain in home quarantine for seven days, said the Minister.
The Minister said if Covid vaccines don’t reach Odisha by evening, vaccination drive will be stopped from Saturday.
It may be noted that Odisha continued registering rise in Covid positive cases for over a week now. The State witnessed 879 cases today. Of them, 518 were detected from among quarantined persons and 361 as local contacts. With today’s cases, the State’s Covid infection tally rose to 3,45,526.
