As per reports, Kuchinda police conducted a raid at a house in Jyotipada, where the alleged sex racket was being operated, and subsequently, arrested the accused persons.
A minor girl has been rescued and taken to a government-run hospital in the district headquarter town here for medical examination, police said.
As per reports, locals spotted a minor girl crying at a bus stand in the district and informed the local Childline officials.
The Childline staff members rushed to the spot and rescued the minor girl from the bus stand. Subsequently, the girl reportedly narrated the tale of the horror she faced before Childline officials.
The victim said that a young man developed physical relation with her on making false promises to marry her. As a result, the teenager got pregnant but the young man ran away.
Later, the minor girl took shelter at a woman’s house in Jyotipada under Kuchinda police station limits and subsequently underwent abortion.
The woman took advantage of the situation and forced the minor girl into the flesh trade. A Home Guard at the Kuchinda police station and another man allegedly raped her multiple times.
The girl however escaped from their clutches and found crying at the bus stand today.
Based on her ordeal, the Childline officials lodged a complaint with the Kuchinda police station following which three accused persons including the Home Guard were arrested.
Later, it is learnt that the arrested woman has been operating flesh trade racket at her house.
“We have arrested three persons including a Home Guard and rescued the minor girl; further investigation is underway,” a police official said.
