Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed the Silicon Institute of Technology here in Odisha for allegedly violating Covid norms issued by the Government.
Earlier, the BMC has issued a show cause notice to the college over the Covid norm violations.
On Monday, the civic body sealed a private coaching centre namely ‘Happy Classes’ in Jaydev Vihar here for violating the Covid guidelines.
On March 28, the BMC sealed a private coaching centre in Bhubaneswar after more than 20 students tested positive for covid-19.
According to official sources, the BMC will continue to conduct raids on various educational institutions here as the city recorded a spike in Coronavirus cases in last few days,.
The State Capital reported as many as 75 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the active cases of the city to 487.
