Puri, Jun 19: Servitors who will be involved in the upcoming Snan Yatra ritual of Lord Jagannath will undergo Covid19 test from tomorrow.
According to information, the RR-PCR test will also be conducted on Shree Jagannath Temple Administration officials and police personnel. A special Covid test camp will be organised on the Utkal Hindi Vidyapitha premises from June 20 to 22.
Servitors and others have been asked to undergo tests between 9 am and 6 pm.
It may be noted that servitors, SJTA staff and police personnel will undergo Covid tests for four times to participate in Snan Yatra and different Rath Yatra rituals. Besides Snan Yatra, they will undergo tests before before Gundicha Yatra, before Bahuda Yatra and 15 days after Niladri Bije.
A decision to this regard was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr Krishan Kumar here yesterday.
Sevayats and others will have to produce negative Covid reports obtained in preceding 48 hours of each ritual, according to the decision.
