Bhubaneswar, May 1: In good news for commuters amidst the pandemic scare, airline carrier SpiceJet kickstarted its flight service from Jharsuguda on Saturday.
The new flight will connect the western Odisha city Jharsuguda to the Sikh religious city of Amritsar in Punjab, Bihar capita Patna and Assam capital Guwahati.
As per the airline sources, the flight will reach Jharsuguda from Amritsar via Patna daily and then fly to Guwahati after having a stoppage at Patna.
Initially the flight will have 120 seats which could be extended to 180 seats in future taking into account the travelers’ need.
Commencement of the new flight will boost connectivity for western Odisha to benefit travelers, students and professionals, wrote CM Naveen Patnaik on his Twitter handle yesterday.
