Internationally acclaimed sand sculptor Padma Shree Sudarsan Pattnaik added another feather to his success cap with his 105-ft-long hockey stick sand sculpture erected on the Mahanadi riverbed finding a place in the prestigious World Records India (WRI).
Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Internationally acclaimed sand sculptor Padma Shree Sudarsan Pattnaik added another feather to his success cap with his 105-ft-long hockey stick sand sculpture erected on the Mahanadi riverbed finding a place in the prestigious World Records India (WRI).
WRI Special Adjudicators Sanjay Narvekar and Sushma Narvekar selected the hockey stick sand sculpture for the World Records India.
The WRI has accorded the hockey stick as the largest hockey stick sculpted in sand ever in the world so far.
Notably, Pattnaik had sculpted the hockey stick on the Mahanadi riverbed on the day of the inauguration of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup at Barabati Stadium recently. He had installed 5,000 hockey balls in the body of the stick.
