ଚାଷୀ ପଞ୍ଜିକରଣରେ ମହା ଜାଲିଆତି
Balasore, Feb 12: Tension prevailed as locals and police clashed at Bagudi Square under Soro police station in Balasore district after a road accident occurred there early on Friday morning.
According to information, a local man was critically injured after being hit by a stone-laden truck at Bagudi Chhak this morning. Following this, locals gathered and blocked the road in protest. They stopped all stone-laden trucks and didn't allow them to move.
On being informed, Soro police rushed to the spot and tried to clear the orad by dispersing the agitating people. However, the people didn’t withdraw agitation and kept demanding an immediate solution to the problem of plying of stone-laden trucks on the stretch of the road. Subsequently, a clash erupted between them.
“Some people have already died in accidents of stone-laden trucks. The trucks are transporting stones illegally. Despite our repeated requests, the authorities have not made any solution. We demand that plying of stone-laden trucks is stopped forthwith,” said locals.
