As per reports, the incident occurred when the scooter rider was crossing the road from Aiginia while the truck hit and dragged the rider leaving the person critically injured.
The injured person was rescued by the locals and rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
After getting information, local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
The identity of the injured person was not known till the report was filed.
Locals said that the road from Jatani Gate to Aiginia is witnessing traffic chaos due to the ongoing road construction work, leading to road mishap on a regular basis.
