Bhubaneswar, Jun 8: Odisha Vigilance Director Debasis Panigrahi was on Tuesday airlifted to Kolkata for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) treatment.
Panigrahi was brought to Bhubaneswar Airport from a private hospital in Cuttack in an ambulance and airlifted in an air-ambulance fitted ECMO from the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
According to information, Panigrahi had been put in an ICU after undergoing treatment for few days on a general bed. As his condition deteriorated, he was put on ventilator support. Now, he has been admitted in a hospital in Kolkata for ECMO treatment.
