The officials of anticorruption agency conducted raids at six places including Das’ office in Jaleswar on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income.
During the raids, the vigilance officials unearthed 24 plots in prime area of Cuttack & Kendrapara districts, two palatial buildings including one triple storeyed building worth Rs 1.22 Crore and one double storeyed building worth Rs 1.1 Crore, one brick factory, four four-wheelers, two two-wheelers, Rs 1.7 Lakh cash, 330 gm gold, 1.1 kg silver coins and other assets, so far.
“The measurement and valuation of the plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. The search process is still continuing,” said a Vigilance official.
