The injured labourer has been identified as Surubali Bansingh.
According to information, the female worker was working at the brick kiln this morning when the mishap took place. Due to negligence the victim got her right hand stuck inside the belt. By the time other labourers reached out for her help the hand had completely been severed.
She was rushed to kamakhyanagar Hospital for treatment immediately.
While the victim’s condition remains critical, labourers have blamed the kiln authority for the incident.
“Absence of precautionary measure and safety equipment at the kiln resulted in the mishap,” they claimed.
The injured has been shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital for better treatment of late.
