The murder came to light after some local residents spotted the body floating in the pond early in the morning. They immediately called up police and reported the matter.
After conducting preliminary investigation with the help of scientific team, cops sent the body for autopsy.
While the identity of the deceased couldn’t be ascertained immediately, it was suspected that miscreants killed him somewhere else and dumped the body in the pond to conceal evidence.
