The deceased, identified as Partha Narayan Das, who hailed from Lambhitala village under Brahmagiri police station limits in Puri district, was a video editor of a Bhubaneswar-based news channel.
According to the information, Das’ mutilated body was recovered from the railway tracks last night. Though the exact reason behind his death is yet to be known, it is suspected that he committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train.
On being informed, the RGP personnel reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
He was depressed for the past couple of days due to some financial crisis. However, his family members could not be reached for comment on the tragic incident.
