ଗ୍ୟାସ୍ ବୋଝେଇ ଟ୍ୟାଙ୍କର ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାଗ୍ରସ୍ତ
Bhadrak, Feb 12: A youth sustained critical injuries after being attacked by a couple for saving a minor girl’s life in Barikpur village under Dhamnagar Police Station in Bhadrak district yesterday.
As per the report, the victim identified as Hemant Mahakud had rescued the minor girl namely Urmila Mahakud while wandering aimlessly on the National Highway after being driven out of home by her uncle and aunt, two days back.
While Hemant had handed over the girl to police post lodging a written complaint, she had been sent to her maternal uncle.
After the incident came to light, the Urmila’s uncle Natabar Mahakud and his wife attacked Hemant with sharp weapons last evening inflicting grievous injuries to him.
Hemant was rushed to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) post the attack and currently under treatment.
