Baripada, Mar 30: A youth has hung himself to death over a family feud in Hansi Sahi area under Thakurmunda Police Station in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gyanaranjan Behera (48).
As per the report, the victim went to be after dinner last night but was found missing from his room today morning. Later, some of his neighbours spotted his body hanging from a bael (wood apple) tree located on the backyard of his house.
Getting an intimation Thakurmunda Police led by IIC Niroj Kumar Samal and ASI Akshay Kumar Sahoo rushed to the spot. During the preliminary inquiry police found a suicide note left by the deceased from the spot.
Police have seized the body for autopsy and lodged a case of unnatural death in connection with the case.
It is learnt that, wife of the deceased had been to her parent’s house along with their minor son a couple of days ago and he was living alone.
