Pathan, who had announced retirement from all formats of the game last month, took to Twitter on Saturday and said, "I've tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required.”
"I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest," he added.
Pathan was part of the India Legends squad, captained by Tendulkar, during the recently-concluded Road Safety World Series T20 tournament.
Earlier on Saturday, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had tested positive for COVID-19.
